Welcome to HBFONTS! We are very glad you joined. This document will guide you through how to create a new product list at HBFONTS. Let’s start!

Before uploading a product, prepare the one below

– 1 Front image for product preview
– 3 or more images to preview product galleries
– Files that have been zipped

Note, in the zip folder only contain files from your product.
– Fonts – ttf, otf, woff, woff2 etc.
– Graphics – SVG, PNG, AI, PDS, DXF etc.

To add a new product, there are several parts that need to be filled.

1. Product Name

3. Product Short Description

4. Categories

5. Tags

6. Product Image

7. Product Image Gallery

8. Regular Price 

9. Price Discount

10. SKU/Product unique code (each product must be different)

11. Add File 

12. Select Product file (file format must be in the zipped folder)

1- Open Silhouette studio. Click on the little tab at the bottom left of your toolbar.

2- Your library will not pop out on the side as a split screen.

3- Select the design you would like to use.

4- Click and drag on the design to your design space.

5- Your image/cut file is not on your design space. you can edit it as you would normally. Click on the tab to close the library.

1- Open Silhouette Studio. Click on the text icon.

2- Type your text.

3- Open the text style panel.

4- Uncheck your text, then re check your text.

5- Select your colored font. It will appear in the design space with the color font type.

5- As your font is colored, You can go to line style and change the red cut lines to invisible.

6- Now the colored font does not have the red cut lines around it but they are still there for cutting.

1- Ensure your SVG file has been unzipped and installed in your PC.

2- Open Cricut Design Space and create a new file/Open an existing one.

3- Select the Upload Image icon that is on the left toolbar.

4- In the new window select Upload Image.

5-  Next another window will appear and ask you to browse your files. Click on this.

6- Browse your files and open the SVG file you require.

7- Your SVG file will appear in the left box. At this point you can rename the file or add tags to it so you can find it at a later date. Once you have named your file and tagged it click Save in the bottom left corner of your screen.

8- You will them be forwarded to another screen. At the bottom, you will see recently uploaded images (1) . Select your file and click insert images (2).

9- Your SVG file will now appear on your design space.

10- You can now cut your file. Click on the cricut Go button and the software will separate the colours and prompt you to cut each part separately.

11- Alternatively you can click on the layer’s tab (1) and then ungroup your SVG file (2). By doing this you can adjust each individual part of the SVG file, change colour, size, and even how it will be cut (either print/cut/emboss etc)

1- Open Silhouette Studio. Go to the cutting mat and change to the curio. Next Change the media size to fit the curio mat. A5 will work well.

2- With the 2 sections changed you will see that the mat on the screen now is the curio mat.

3- Select your design.

4- Select your design.

5-  When you click on send with a PNG no cut lines appear.

6- If you click on the cut lines, all you will see is cut lines around the outside edge of the PNG file.

7-  To create cut lines for your PNG file you need to select the design and then click on the trace panel.

8- Click on the trace icon and draw your trace box around your design.

9- Your design will highlight yellow. Make sure all parts are highlighted. Adjust the threshold and the high pass to make sure everything is selected. Click on trace.

10-  Your design will be traced and this will create cut lines. You can now delete the original desing if you would like too.

11-Click the send option. You will now see red cut lines for your design. If for any reason you do ont see them click on the cut icon.

12- Select the curio and then you can now set your media and cut your PNG design.

1- Open Silhouette Studio. Go to the cutting mat and change to the curio. Next Change the media size to fit the curio mat. A5 will work well.

4-  Select your text and click on the text style tool.

5- There is a new panel which will will appear. Here you can select any of your fonts that are installed in your PC. Select a font and the text that is selected will change to that font.

6- You can change your font any time as long as you select the text and then select a font in your style panel.

7- If the font you have selected came with any glyphs you can select the glyph option. A selection of glyphs will appear for you to select.

8- If you hover over a glyph it will become bigger for you to see which one to select.

9- Place your cursor where you would like the glyph. You can delete the letter you do not need that you are replacing with a glyph. Next click on the glyph you would like to use. It will appear where your cursor is.

10- You can repeat this as many times as you would like in your text.

11- Once you are happy with the finished glyphs and text, right click and group. If you want all the letters to join (if overlapped) you can click weld to join the overlapping letters.

12- Click on send when you are finished. You will see that the glyphs act as text and and will have cut lines automatically .

To add new fonts to Silhouette Studio, the font must first be downloaded and installed on your computer.Once the font is installed on your computer, restart Silhouette Studio.

When Silhouette Studio opens, click the Text Style tool along the right sidebar. The new font should appear in alphabetical order in the font list.

Installing new fonts in Cricut Design Space is as easy as installing them on your computer.

Next, pull up a canvas in Cricut Design Space. Add any text you would like by clicking text on the left hand side.

 

You can then highlight that text and a font box will appear. Pull down that box to get to your fonts menu.

 

Across the top of this box you will see “all”, “system”, and “Cricut”. Just click on “system” to get to the fonts on your computer. Choose the one you want and you are ready to cut!

To open special font characters in Cricut Design Space, start by adding some regular text to the canvas.

NOTE: You must choose fonts that have special characters or glyphs.

 

Then pull up the “character map” on your computer. You can put this in your computer’s search bar to find it easily.

 

Pick the font you want from the drop down. Then check the “advanced view” to access the special characters and glyphs. You will see another pop up box.

 

Scroll until you see “private use characters” and click. You will then see your special characters in the character map.

 

Click the one you would like to use.

 

Ensure that the letter is highlighted in the “characters to copy” box then copy.

 

Paste it into design space over the letter you want to replace. NOTE: This will appear as a box in your text edit window but will look fine on your canvas.

 

Continue to alter your text until you are happy with it and your design is ready to cut!

To access Andalusia’s incredible Glyphs using FontBook on Mac, go through the following steps:1. Install the .OTF version of the font as normal.
2. Launch Font Book on your Mac using Spotlight search.
3. Select  Font.

4. Find the Glyph you want to use by scrolling down in the list.

5. Copy the Glyph by going to Edit > Copy or pressing Cmd + C.

6. Paste the Glyph into the software of your choice using Edit > Paste or Cmd + V.

You can now copy and paste the characters using Font Book on Mac! Have fun!

One common support request we receive from users is the inability to find the extra PUA-encoded Font Glyphs on their Macs. This is kind of a big deal – as glyphs can make fonts 10x more awesome!

All the fonts on our Marketplace are PUA-encoded for full accessibility, by us even if the designer doesn’t do them (because we know how important this is) so you never have to worry if the glyphs in the fonts you are buying are even going to work or be accessible in your software.

So with that in mind – 95% of the time, this is due to a problem that can be solved in just one click!
font book repertoire modeEnsure your Font Book is in Repertoire Mode by clicking the button highlighted in red and ensure you can access all the glyphs.

That’s it! Now you can enjoy all of those glyphs to your hearts content.

1- Open silhouette studio. Select the text tool.

2- Type your text and then select the text style tool.

3- To select your font you can either highlight your text and select from the fonts in the drop down box, you you can write your font name in the text box.

4- Some fonts have extra glyphs and swashes included. in the past you need to use a separate program to access them. Now silhouette has a glyph option to access them.

5- In the glyph option you can hover over the glyphs to make the size larger. You can also use the scale tool to make the previews larger also.

6- To add a glyph in your text, delete the letter you would like to replace, then scroll through the glyphs and double click the one you would like to use. The glyph will appear where you have the cursor.

7- Your glyph will now appear on your text.

8- You can add as many glyphs as you like in your text. All the recent glyphs you use will be listed so you can refer back to them.

9- Apart form letter glyphs, some gylphs are complete works or swashes.

10- You can resize all glyphs as you would any text or shapes.

11- If you would like to join the glyphs you can select all text and then click on weld. the letters/glyphs that touch will weld together.

12- Once you send the text and glyphs to the cut screen, They will have their cut lines ready to use.

To install on a PC

1- Once downloaded, go to the file location. It will be a zip file for you to use.

2- Right click and select Extract all.

3- A new window will appear. Select where you want to extract your file to and then click on the extract icon.

4- Once extracted a new window will appear with your files. Click on the font folder.

5- Find the font file and double click on it.

6- A new window will appear. You will see the font. Click on the install icon. This will install the font to your PC.

7- you will know the font is installed as the install icon will be grayed out and you will no longer able to click on it.

8- To confirm that your font is installed, you can go to settings and select the font option. THen in the search bar type your font name.

9- If the font has installed correctly to the PC it will appear.

To install on a MAC

1- Find the location of your downloaded zip file.

2- Double click on the zip file. The file will automatically decompress by the archive utility into the same folder the compressed file was in.

3- Click on the font to open it.

4- Click on install font.

How to Uninstall Fonts on a Windows PC and Mac

Do you want to uninstall some fonts that you have downloaded from the Internet and installed in your Windows PC or Mac? If yes, this tutorial will help you uninstall fonts on a Windows PC and Mac. We have divided this tutorial in two parts. Part one will demonstrate the process of uninstalling fonts on a Windows PC. And, in Part Two we will let you know how to uninstall fonts on Mac.

 

Part One – How to Uninstall Fonts on a Windows PC

Perform the below steps to complete the task of uninstalling fonts on a Windows PC in an easy manner:

 

    1. Close all applications.

 

    1. Click the Start button and then select Control Panel.

 

    1. In the Control Panel window, click Appearance and Personalization.

 

    1. Now, look for the Fonts option and once you find it, click it. You will see the Fonts window with all fonts you have installed in your Windows PC.

 

    1. Select the Font that you want to uninstall.

 

    1. Click the Delete button at top of the window. A confirmation dialog box will appear.

 

    1. Click the Yes button, as shown in the below screenshot:Uninstall Fonts

 

    1. Repeat steps 5-7 to uninstall every font you want.

 

Note: In order to delete many fonts in one go, hold down the CTRL key when you select fonts. Once all the fonts are selected, follow steps 6-7 given herein above.

Part Two – How to Uninstall Fonts on Mac

Perform the below steps to easily uninstall fonts on Mac:

 

    1. Close all the application.

 

    1. In the Finder, select Go > Applications > Font Book. Font Book is an application in Mac that lets you install and manage fonts.

 

    1. In the Font Book application, you will see all fonts installed in your Mac.

 

    1. Select and right-click the font that you want to uninstall.

 

    1. Now, select Remove (font name) option. Remove option is followed by the name of the font you will be uninstalling.

 

    1. A confirmation message will appear. Click the Remove button and the selected font will be uninstalled from Mac.

 

    1. Repeat steps 4-6 to uninstall every font you want.

 

Note: If you feel that the selected font can be of your use later on then instead of selecting the Remove (font name) option select the Disable (font name) option. By doing this, the font will then be unavailable for use. And, when you need to use it back, you can enable it by following the same process, as demonstrated above. The only difference will be that this time you will have to select the Enable (font name) option.

1. The Download

When you first download the ZIP file from Design Bundles to your Mac, it will appear in your downloads folder (or another folder if you have specified a different folder in your browser).

2. Unzipping

To ‘Unzip’ the file you can either double click on it, or right click and go to ‘Open With’ followed by ‘Archive Utility’ which should be installed on your Mac by default.

3. The Unzipped Folder

After the unzipping process, you will notice a folder has been created, this folder contains all of the elements that were included in the ZIP folder.

4. Navigating the Folder

You can now navigate through the folders to find the elements you wish to use in your design and open them in the software you wish to use them in.


At this stage you can use the elements in your required software.
