How to Access glyphs in your silhouette with Character Map

Open the Silhouette Studio program

Type your text in your program.
Select the font you want in your text / font drop-down box.

Now you have to open the Windows Character Map. This application is included on all Windows computers. To access the Character Map just press the windows bar and start typing “Character Map”.

When you are logged out, “Character Map”.
please open the application and in the “Font” dropdown, then you select the font you want to use and you can make sure the “Advanced View” box is checked.

 

 

In the “Group” dropdown select “Unicode Subrange”

In the “Group” menu that opens on the right side, scroll to the bottom and select “Personal Usage Character”.Now on the left side you will see all the characters that are PUA encoded. You can click on the character to see it a little bigger.

If you want to use one of these characters, then click “Select” and after click “Copy”.

and Click back to your workspace. Select your text and delete the letters you want to replace with the glyph.

After the letter is deleted, then press Ctrl V to paste the glyph that you copied from the Character Map application into your text.
